Answer:

It gives new ideas to achieve

Explanation:

Science fiction fascinates me. Science does not. Technology does. Combining all of them is one of the most interesting things to learn about. When an author of science fiction writes about an idea, like the idea of retina scanners, or holographic computers, it interests people, making them think, maybe we could bring this to reality. And then they do. Humans can do just about anything, and when they're interested in a topic, they're twice as likely to take it into legitimate consideration.

Hence, why we now have so many things that were nonsense years ago. Because science fiction is new, and science fiction is the future. If you told someone seventy years ago that one day we'd have self driving cars, they'd think you were nuts. Now they exist. Because some author came up with it, some CEO or millionaire though it was a good idea and told their employees to make it happen, and some engineer and/or scientist was smart enough to make it happen.

Hope this answers your question :)

nfer what the narrator means by “her casual whim.” What can you infer about the direction of Dexter’s future from the narrator’s
Amanda [17]

Answer:

The narrator emphasized the phrase "by her casual whim" because it shows how Judy could let Dexter do anything for her.

So, this shows what will happen to Dexter's future that Judy could just let him do what she wanted, especially that Judy asked him to attend the dinner the following day.

Explanation:

The question above is related to the story entitled "Winter Dreams," which was written by F. Scott Fitzgerald.

Before mentioning the phrase "by her casual whim," Judy and Dexter met again. This time, Judy asked Dexter whether he could drive the motorboat so she could surf while being driven behind it. As Judy demanded him to go faster, Dexter obediently did as he was told. This shows how Dexter fell for Judy and that he could just ask him whatever she wanted.

Who Was the Best US President?
Tems11 [23]

Answer:

Abraham Lincoln

Explanation:

United State is a great country that has produced great leaders. "Everything rises and falls on leadership", said John C. Maxwell. Leadership is the ability to birth a vision and guide some set of people related by purpose and mission to achieve that vision. The best US president in my opinion is Abraham Lincoln. The reasons I shall highlight in the subsequent paragraphs.

Abraham Lincoln stood for the rights of others. He brought an end to slavery of African Americans. An heroic action he took because every one is equal and has the right to freedom-this he stood for despite opposition from his detractors.

President Lincoln was critical in the amalgamation of the North and the South of the America. He helped brought an end to the civil wars. The war was destructive and wasteful as lives and properties were lot during the encounters

He was influential in his speech. They were filled with moral rhetorics and wise sayings. Abraham helped solidified the Republican party.

In conclusion, great leaders knows the way, walks the way and shows the way to others. Although, He was assassinated for what he stood for, his legacy will forever leave an indelible mark on the sand of time .
