What are the different outcomes between recording a story digitally and sharing a story orally?

I would say that if there’s a recording of a story, it would be easier to keep all the details the same since there is a record of it. Telling a story orally would cause the story to change in some way over time because not everyone will be able to retell the story the exact same way.
