Olin [163]

Answer:

True.

Explanation:

The Haymarket Affair is also known as the Haymarket Riot. This riot took place on 4th May 1886  at Haymarket Square near Chicago. It began as a peaceful demonstration in support of the labours striking for eight hours a day working. During this rally, someone threw a bomb at police. A total of eight people died on the day as a result of the violence.

In the aftermath of the Haymarket Affair, the management took the opportunity to cover the movement of the workers as a danger and un-American unit inclined to violence and controlled by foreign-born militants.
