Answer: Ash stalked through the bushes, chasing the scent of a dead deer. The carrion would have been at least 3 days old by now, and was setting the forest ablaze with it’s sickly sweet scent. He sped up as the scent grew closer and closer. When he finally saw the corpse through a tangle of bushes, he dashed forward, not noticing the other wolf in the clearing.
