Hello~

A pollen tube is a tubular structure produced by the male gametophyte of seed plants when it germinates. Pollen tube elongation is an integral stage in the plant life cycle. The pollen tube acts as a conduit to transport the male gamete cells from the pollen grain—either from the stigma (in flowering plants) to the ovules at the base of the pistil or directly through ovule tissue in some gymnosperms. In maize, this single cell can grow longer than 12 inches (30 cm) to traverse the length of the pistil.

Place the steps involved in burning coal to create electricity in the correct order.
butalik [34]

Answer and Explanation:

  1. Coal is burned: Electrical Centrals burn coal with which they get enough heat. The coal might be pulverized to increase the effective combustion area.
  2. Water boils, creating steam. The heat generated by the burning coal is used to create water vapor that rises and moves turbines. This occurs when water passing through some tubes is heated by the hot gases coming from the burning coal, turning it into high-pressure steam.
  3. Moving steam turns turbines. The high-pressure steam is taken to turbines where it expands and moves the rotor which is the moving part of the turbines.
  4. Turbines generate electrical energy. The turbines are connected to a generator that transforms the energy produced by the rotor into electricity.

After Frida stops exercising, she continues to breathe heavily. What is most likely occurring in her body? Heavy breathing durin
son4ous [18]
I believe the correct answer would be the last option. After Frida stops exercising, it caused her body to be lack of oxygen that is why she breathes heavily to take in more oxygen from air. Also, with this, lactate is being transported to the liver. The lactate is a result of the anaerobic respiration.

Which of the following chemical reactions proves the fact that the products of photosynthesis are reactants of respiration?
AlladinOne [14]
<span>The answer is:
Photosynthesis: 6 CO</span>₂ + 6 H₂O → C₆H₁₂O₆ + 6 O₂
Respiration: C₆H₁₂O₆ + 6 O₂ → 6 CO₂ + 6 H₂O + ATP<span>

Cellular respiration and photosynthesis are complement reactions to each other. These are reverse reactions. In cellular respiration glucose (</span>C₆H₁₂O₆) and oxygen (O₂) yield carbon dioxide (CO₂) and water (H₂O) and energy is released in the form of ATP. In the opposite reaction - in photosynthesis, carbon dioxide (CO₂) and water (H₂O) yield glucose (C₆H₁₂O₆) and oxygen (<span>O₂)</span><span>. </span>
