The law was created in 1898. This legal action is a supplement to the previously drafted Dawes Act. With this regulation, five tribes lost control over a huge amount of land. The law covered the following tribal communities: the Choctaw, Chickasaw, Muscogee, Seminole, and Cherokee. This law was implemented in the wider territory of Oklahoma. After the implementation of the said law, Oklahoma soon became a state.
