How did the Greek culture influence the development of the Roman republic?

Answer:

To this day, the Greeks and Italians often point out the similarities between their cultures. Roman architecture and Greek architecture are surprisingly similar. The mythology is almost the same, both sets of Gods reside on Mount Olympus.

During the beginning of the Roman Empire, if a Roman Patrician wished to reach the highest levels of education, they attended the schools in Greece. For instance, one of Rome's leading philosophers, constitutionalist, and one of the politicians aligned against Julius Caesar, introduced the "common" Roman to the Greek philosophers by translating many of the texts from Greek to Latin.

Greek also helped protect the Roman Empire during its infancy. Spartan soldiers were often called up to assist Roman Legions in their battles against the Middle-Eastern Parthian Empire.

The Etruscan civilization lasted from the 8th century BCE to the 3rd and 2nd century BCE. In the 6th century, the Etruscan expanded their influence over a wide area of Italy. They founded city-states in northern Italy and to the south . Early Rome was deeply influenced by the Etruscan culture, in fact, the word "Rome" is Etruscan.

Rome is located on the edge of what was the Etruscan homeland. Certain institutions and customs came directly from the Etruscans to Rome. Before the Etruscans arrived, Rome was a collection of small farmin settlements . Then , the Etruscan elite provided it with its early political arrangements, such as monarchy and army and urban infrastructure.

Romans were deeply influenced by the Etruscan culture, whose imprint can be seen in the Romans' writings, art and architecture, religion, military matters and entertainment (the gladiatorial combat).

Kyler isn't getting any younger! He decides it's time to start saving for his future and deposits $225 each month at 6.2% annual
yanalaym [24]

Answer:

The best answer to the question: How much if this did Kyler contribute and how much of this is interest, would be: 93.311.43 would be the total amount accrued by Kyler at the end of the 25 years of saving if the annual compound rate is maintained at 6.2%, and the rest would be the net savings done by Kyler if he maintains the rate of savings at 225 per month for all of the 25 years.

Explanation:

The good thing about savings on an account with compound interest rate is that at the end of the saving period, the total amount gained will be much larger than without it. This compound interest rate is simply the extra money that a person may get for literally investing his/her money in this case on a bank account that offers that rate of interest every year. Give or take a bit from taxes, at the end of the day, Kyler got a lot more money from just compound annual interest, than from his own hand.

What are the disadvantages of traffic rules ( this is for a debate btw)

pls tell fast
boyakko [2]

Answer:

Not being able to floor it in a school zone (jk)

Explanation:

Excessive Traffic Delays

While they do help manage the flow of vehicular traffic, one of the other disadvantages of traffic signals is that they can cause traffic delay. Waiting for a traffic light to turn green or waiting for a car in a turn lane to safely cross an intersection can result in long wait periods. Excessive delays can translate to wasted fuel, air pollution and costs to motorists. These are often hidden costs that aren't always apparent to drivers.

Cost of Traffic Signals

One of the other disadvantages of traffic signals is the cost, especially when a less expensive stop sign will do. The cost of installing and maintaining a traffic signal varies, depending on the state. In Missouri, it costs between $100,000 and $150,000 to install and about $4,000 a year to maintain a traffic signal. In Washington, it costs between $250,000 and $500,000 to purchase and install a signal and about $8,000 a year to maintain. A basic stop sign, on the other hand, can average around $400 to manufacture and install. Maintenance costs of a stop sign are significantly lower than a signal, since there is no electrical system to maintain. When they make sense to install, stop signs may be a more viable alternative for keeping city costs down.

Traffic engineers consider the advantages and disadvantages of traffic signals when determining whether to install them. Once they are installed, signals are monitored and adjusted on an ongoing basis to make sure they are as beneficial as possible. If it turns out they are doing more harm then good, the installation of a traffic signal will be reevaluated to make sure it's the best way to go.
