Answer:

7.25cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the complete question be;

<em>Jill cuts a piece of cardboard in the shape of a trapezoid. The area of the is 43.5sp cm. If bases are 3.5cm and 8.5cm long, what is the height.</em>

<em />

Area of a trapezoid = 1/2(a+b)*h

a and b are the parallel sides (bases)

h is the height

Given

a = 3.5cm

b = 8.5cm

A = 43.5 sq.cm

Required

Height h

Substitute the given values into the expression

Area of a trapezoid = 1/2(a+b)*h

43.5 = 1/2(3.5+8.5)*h

43.5 = 1/2 * 12h

43.5 = 6h

h = 43.5/6

h = 7.25cm

Hence the height is 7.25cm

At Furnace Woods School, enrollment increased from 320 students in 2006 to 349 students in 2007. What is the percent increase in
drek231 [11]

Answer:

9.0625%

Step-by-step explanation:

It increased from 320 to 349

This is a percent INCREASE.

320 is the "old" value and 349 is the "new" value.

We find percent increase by the formula:

\frac{New-Old}{Old}*100

Where old is 320 and new is 349. Lets substitute and find the increase (percentage):

\frac{New-Old}{Old}*100\\=\frac{349-320}{320}*100\\=\frac{29}{320}*100\\=9.0625

The percentage increase is 9.0625%

Pls tell me least to greatest 4.5 and 3.9 and 4.258 and 3.75 and 4.256
Darya [45]
3.75, 3.9, 4.256, 4.258, 4.5

So how do you find out? It is really easy.

First you look the the number, we all know 3 is less then 4 so the 3s go first

Then you look the tenths,  the choices are 3.75 and 3.9.  The tenth 9 and 7, and we all know 7 is less then 9, so 3.75 is the first one, then 3.9.

Now let's look at the 4s.  The choices are 4.5, 4.258, and 4.256.  The tenths are 5, 2, and 2.  2 is less then 5 so they go before 4.5.

Then we look at the hundredth, the choices are 4.256 and 4.258.  Since they have same hundreds, we look at the thousands.  They are 6 and 8.  6 is less then 8 so 4.256 go before 4.258.

A house costs 36% more today than when it built.if the cost of the house today is $333200,find its cost when it was built
Brrunno [24]

Answer:

The cost of house was $245000 when it was built.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that:

Cost of the house today = $333200

Percent increase in today's price = 36%

Let,

x be the cost of house when it was built.

100 be the percentage when the house was built.

Percentage of house price today = (100+36)% = 136%

136% of x = 333200

\frac{136}{100}*x=333200\\1.36x=333200

Dividing both sides by 1.36

\frac{1.36x}{1.36}=\frac{333200}{1.36}\\x=245000

Hence,

The cost of house was $245000 when it was built.
