If we were to be forced into a system such as a dictatorship, the people would have no say. With the current system of government, the people can elect representatives who decide for the people which is what we want, instead of a government who has complete control over everyone and everything.
People were willing to take any ideas and anyone who promised a way out of the economical hole they were rapidly falling into. Obviously, they were used for support during genocides and dictatorships, but were too blind to see what their influence was on things like the Holocaust and Stalin's movement
In a working economy, it requires labor to attain natural resources to produce other resources. then once a city is built and currency is established, entrepreneurship is required to buy and sell goods. Lastly, capital is required to keep order in the population
