Answer:

Okay so if I did my math correct the answer should be 168 yd

Step-by-step explanation:

If you make it into a rectangle by sliding the shape up on its right side. Your bottom or base of 10 will change to be 8 if I am not mistaking it.

Let me know if that is right

mr amaya class is collecting thing to measure. rachel find a leaf. would the leaf be 4 inches, 4 feet, or yards longer
artcher [175]
Good question!

The leaf would in fact be 4 inches. 4 feet long would be 48 inches which is way too big for a leaf! And let's not even begin to consider how big 4 yards would be!

The leaf is 4 inches, hope this helps!

A school has 200 students and spends $40 on supplies for each student. The principal expects the number of students to increase
34kurt

Step-by-step explanation:

The predicted number of students over time, S(t)

Rate of increment is 5% per year.

A function 'S(t)' which gives the number of students in school after 't' years.

S(0) means the initial year when the number of students is 200.

S(0) = 200

S(1) means the number of students in school after one year when the number increased by 5% than previous year which is 200.

S(1) = 200 + 5% of 200 = = =

S(2) means the number of students in school after two year when the number increased by 5% than previous year which is S(1)

S(2) = S(1) + 5% of S(1) = = =

.

.

Similarly

The predicted amount spent per student over time, A(t)

Rate of decrements is 2% per year.

A function 'A(t)' which gives the amount spend on each student in school after 't' years.

A(0) means the initial year when the number of students is 40.

A(0) = 40

A(1) means the amount spend on each student in school after one year when the amount decreased by 2% than previous year which is 40.

A(1) = 40 + 2% of 40 = = =

A(2) means the amount spend on each student in school after two year when the amount decreased by 2% than previous year which is A(1)

A(2) = A(1) + 2% of A(1) = = =

.

.

.

.

.

Similarly

The predicted total expense for supplies each year over time, E(t)

Total expense = (number of students) ×  (amount spend on each student)

E(t) = S(t) × A(t)

(NOTE : The value of x in all the above equation is between zero(0) to ten(10).)

Find AD. Show how you got your answer.
stealth61 [152]
Notice the picture below
the AD line is a bisector, cutting the 36 degrees A in half,
18 and 18 degrees each half

notice the tickmarks, the triangle is an isosceles,
if those two sides are equal, so are the angles they make
down below with the base

now, the base is 8, AD is bisecting that too, to 4 and 4

now, using the Law of Sines

\bf \textit{Law of sines}
\\ \quad \\
\cfrac{sin(\measuredangle A)}{a}=\cfrac{sin(\measuredangle B)}{b}=\cfrac{sin(\measuredangle C)}{c}\\\\
----------------------------\\\\
\cfrac{sin(18^o)}{4}=\cfrac{sin(72^o)}{\overline{AD}}\implies \overline{AD}=\cfrac{4\cdot sin(72^o)}{sin(18^o)}

keep in mind, the angles are in degrees, so, when taking the sines, make sure your calculator is in Degree mode

43% of adults say cashews are their favorite kind of nut. you randomly select 12 adults and ask each to name his or her favorit
nikdorinn [45]
<span>If 43% of adults say cashews are their favorite kind of nut, then if you ask 12 adults the result should be: 12 adults x 43%= 5.16 adults.

If you round the result, you will get 5 of 12 adults saying that cashews are their favorite nut.  Then the right option would be </span><span>(b) at least four</span>
