“Vous” can be either plural or singular. It is essentially a more formal way to say “tu”, or it can be used to address multiple people. So you could say « vous êtes agréable » and depending on context, it would mean « you are nice » or « you guys are nice » Hope this makes sense :)

vous’ has two uses.
1) formal singular’ word , (you can use it when speaking to one person whom you’re not overly familiar with or older than you...)
2) vous’ is also classed as the ‘plural’ way of saying ‘you’. If you’re speaking to more than one person, you must always address them as ‘vous’. formal or informal
