One thing that drastically changed how I've viewed things is after getting social media. This was a big event to me because my parents are extremely strict about social media, so getting it was a surprise. Major events, like fighting and arguments broke out a whole lot which led to stress inducing situations that required the mental energy and communication skills to solve them. Social media has changed my perspective on a lot of things due to how people act. I have gained a lot of empathy and communication skills that could change the future in how I handle high-stress situations.

mr_godi [17]

Answer: The mayor commemorates and gives praise to those who were killed while building the bridge.

Explanation:

The option that best summarizes the central idea of this excerpt is option B "The mayor commemorates and gives praise to those who were killed while building the bridge".

This can be seen in the excerpt when the Mayor of the city of Brooklyn said they should recall with kindness the work of the people who contributed to the building of the bridge but had died.

Therefore, the correct option is B.

ipn [44]

Answer and Explanation:

Twain avoided "literary offenses" by not mentioning these works throughout the narrative. This was significant because Twain keeps his attention on the narrative itself, specifically stimulating the themes that the narrative addresses.

In this case, instead of provoking criticism to other known works and authors, Twain highlights a narrative with themes that provoke reflections on regional differences and stereotypes, a sense of community and personal integrity.

Alexxx [7]

According to the text, one of the themes developed on the novel should be The Effects of Facts over Opinions on Children's Education. It is no wonder that facts are important to learn in order to build a frame of reference to construct one's own ideas, but the issue developed in the story comes when a powerful man wishes that children learn by facts alone. This practice will surely have a dramatic effect on the story, since at one point, the characters will realise the importance of considering other's opinions to generate proper and educated ideas to share.

The idea of The Impact of Private Companies on the Common Society should be included in the story as well, as it is a businessman that demonstrates the potential grasp of a few individuals over the livelihoods of many. For better or for worse, the ideas and experiences of one person can become the perceptive world for the rest if the right amount of power is possessed, and enough money is put on the table.
