Malcolm X regularly criticized MLK for bowing to Whites (because MLK used peaceful protests that included negotiations and talk with white leaders) and subjugating African Americans. Malcolm saw how MLK was spoken of by white leaders and commended for his nonviolent protests which Malcolm believed was a tactic of white leaders to keep black people from fighting back in the way Malcolm saw the most effective and imperative to finally achieving freedom.
