Plants in different environments have unique challenges. For example, the growth of a plant in a rain forest (e.g., an orchid) m
ight be more strongly affected by different factors than a plant in a desert (e.g., a succulent). In three to five sentences, compare environmental variables that could uniquely affect the photosynthetic process of a rain forest plant versus a desert plant.
The environmental factors that would be more important to a rain forest plant would be sunlight and carbon dioxide (for sure). This is because rain forests are more shady and there would be less sunlight for the plant to get, which could cause the plants to get taller in order to reach the sunlight (which they do). However, in the desert, the plants would be more dependent on water and carbon dioxide. This is because the plants have more sunlight and therefore aren't struggling to find it, but since deserts are fairly dry, it would be harder for the plants to have water.
Due to the fact that all the organisms are connected in a chain, the energy flow would be affected and that would result in many organisms being deprived of energy they need and that creates a chain effect.
