Why can category One tropical cyclones be more destructive than category 5 tropical cyclones

Geography
1 answer:
lbvjy [14]3 years ago
7 0

Answer:

They happen more often

Explanation:

category 5 is rare. category 1 can dump a lot more rain & cause a lot of damage by creating floods and landslides. it knocks down trees, etc. It creates more damage because it's going slower so it has more time to destroy things. while as a 5 category would be fast causing damage but it would be out of there quickly.

Compare and contrast alluvial fans and deltas.
ICE Princess25 [194]
Similarities :Both alluvial fans and deltas deposit sediment. Difference: A delta forms when a river empties into a larger body of water. An alluvial fan forms on land where a river emerges from a mountainous area and flows out onto a more gently sloping plain. The decrease in slope causes the river to decelerate and deposit sediment, forming an alluvial fan.
