The people of Mesopotamia had two rivers namely the Tigris and Euphrates. They made canals and other man made waterways to use for irrigation and to supply their plants with water. Using these irrigation tools they channeled water from rivers to their crops. Irrigation helped keep the soil moist, and the river water delivered nutrients to the soil.
