In the story Antigone by Sophocles, Creon can be described as a mean King who never listened to the warnings given to him by others. When his son Haemon complained about his highhandedness in ruling, he asked his son;

Haemon replied that it was not a city if only one man ruled. He then replied;

"What? The city is the king's-- that's the law!"

He exiled his brother Jocasta away from the city of Thebes, taking over the throne and neglecting his nephews Polyneices and Eteocles. This eventually caused a revolt and he did not listen to the warning of the prophet to give Polyneices a proper burial.
