The correct answer to this open question is the following.

Unfortunately, you did not specify the letter Cortés sent to the king of Spain. Hernan Cortés wrote many letters. Which one you are referring to?

You also forgot to attach it so we can read it.

However, trying to help you, we can comment on the following.

The parts of Cortés's letter that would be most interesting to a cultural historian would be the ones where Hernan Cortes describes his first impressions about the Valley of México and his encounter for the first time to the great city of Tenochtitlan.

In this part of the letter, Hernan Cortes is astonished by what he was witnessing. A magnificent, clean, large, impressive city with clean water canals that connected to different parts of the city. Hardworking people farming their "chinampas," portions of land where they farm and live in those water canals.

He also described the magnificent downtown area with large and tall buildings, temples, and pyramids.

He let King Carlos V know the customs, culture, and traditions of the Aztec people, that although primitive Indians, they had advanced organization on trade and social systems.

Hernan Cortés arrived in the Americas on March 4, 1519. He specifically arrived at the Yucatan Peninsula, in the Mexican territory. Five months later, on November 8th, 1519, he finally arrived at the center of the Aztec Empire: the great city of Tenochtitlan, the capital of the Aztecs.

Cortés realized that Spaniards alone, it was going to be impossible to defeat the mighty Aztec Army. That is why in 1521, Cortés made alliances with Native Tribes that were enemies to the Aztecas. Specifically, the Chollulans and the Tlaxcalteans.

The group that has experienced the worst suffering as a result of the great depression was
Eduardwww [97]
The correct answer should be African-Americans

They were segregated and had hard times finding jobs and when they did manage to get them, it was mostly low-skilled low-paying physical jobs like carrying bags of cement or loading ships in the docks. When the great depression came, they lost even this because white workers were prepared to do even those jobs so they lost even the little wage that they had.

What seems to be the main arguments by reformers? What is their main weapon against the Catholic Church? What technology aided t
JulsSmile [24]

The main arguments of the reformers come from a free and personal interpretation of the Bible.

The Protestants noticed the excesses of Catholic traditions. Martin Luther (1483-1546) in Germany and Jean Calvin (1509-1564) in France rejected the authority of the Church, which defines itself as the sole interpreter of the divine faith.

The pillars of Protestantism are expressed by the solae:

- The Bible is the supreme authority.

- Salvation is obtained by faith alone

Salvation is not the result of effort or merit.

- Jesus is the only mediator between men and God (rejection of papal authority)

- God is the only one to worship.

Luther found among some German princes support and protection to divulge his ideas. They also harbored grudges against the pope and the high clergy. Luther undertook to translate the Bible into German and the Reformation spread among the German principalities.

In England, Henry VIII proclaims himself "Supreme Head of the Church and Clergy" and breaks all diplomatic relations with Rome. In this situation of weakness of the Catholic Church, the Reform is spreading in Europe

The invention of printing by Gutenberg in 1450 allowed the transmission of new ideas and knowledge not only among scholars, but also among traders and artisans. Printing is the vector that will allow the exchange of new ideas.
