Answer:

106.65 cm²

Step-by-step explanation:

For this I will find the area of the whole rectangle then minus the triangle on the top right corner.

<em><u>Area Of The Whole Rectangle:</u></em>

A=l*w\\A=12.3*9.5\\A=116.85 cm

The whole rectangle is 116.85 cm.

<em><u>Area Of The Triangle:</u></em>

For this we subtract 12.3 - 8.3 to get the base of 4

And then 9.5 - 4.4 to get the height of 5.1

A=\frac{1}{2}bh\\A=\frac{1}{2}(4)(5.1)\\A=\frac{1}{2}(20.4)\\A=10.2cm

The triangle is 10.2 cm.

<em><u>Area Of The Whole Figure:</u></em>

At this point we should already have the area of the triangle and the area of the rectangle. So now we subtract the triangle from the rectangle.

116.85-10.2=106.65cm and that is it the whole figure is 106.65 cm².

Answer:

106.6

Step-by-step explanation:

There is a triangle and rectangles inside of this shape. You need to split it up so you can find all the sides of the triangle and the squares. The attached image shows me doing that.

Now you need to calculate the area for all the rectangles and triangles.

The area of a triangle is A = bh / 2

The area of a rectangle is A = lw

The area of a square is A = s^2 or s * s.

Add up the area of all geometry together to get your answer.

10.2 + 17.6 + 36.5 + 42.3 = 106.6

10.2 is the area of the triangle

17.6 is the area of 4.4 by 4 rectangle

36.5 is the area of the 8.3 by 4.4 rectangle

42.3 is the area of the 8.3 by 5.1 rectangle.

The total area of the figure shown is ≈ 106.6
