I recommend you both have your feet facing slightly outward with your heads turned slightly outward as well. Make sure the audience can see your face clearly. Not completely off to the side but not completely front on either.

Although there have been shows dealing with the inequalities African Americans face such as; The Color Purple, many Broadway shows have not truly identified their role in the ongoing fight for equality. I would definitely recommend looking up Black playwrights and try finding off-broadway plays that deal with equality issues, it'd be an eye-opening experience.
