Answer:

  • We had been on the road for six hours, but it felt like sixty given the appalling surface.
  • I was now worried that we wouldn’t arrive before nightfall, and my fears weren’t helped by the driver’s eccentric behaviour.

Explanation:

The phrases above are two examples of complex phrases that can be found in the text.

A complex sentence is one that is formed by an independent clause and one or two dependent clauses. As you may already know, dependent clauses are those that cannot convey a complete thought on their own and therefore need a complement to make sense, unlike the independent clauses that can conclude a thought and convey a complete meaning without the need for complement.

Social perceptions on schizophrenia (how the public views people with schizophrenia) a paragraph on this please 4 or 5 sentences
zaharov [31]

Answer:

People see those with schizophrenia as "insane" or "psychotic" due to the media they consume. Society has accepted this as gospel, but we're slowly starting to erase that viewpoint. Obviously, those who suffer with schizophrenia aren't what people say they are, since it's a disorder with a lot more layers to it than people believe. It's more than just "hearing voices", since more of the symptoms include social isolation, agitation, compulsivity, disorganization, and much more.

Why do authors use parallel structures
Zigmanuir [339]

Lack of parallel structure can disrupt the rhythm of a sentence, leaving it grammatically unbalanced. Proper parallel structure helps to establish balance and flow in a well-constructed sentence; the alignment of related ideas supports readability and clarity.

2. "I need to do laundry, walk the dog, take out the garbage, empty the dishwasher, and go to the grocery store today,” Mrs. Eat
mariarad [96]

Answer: Therefore

Explanation: Therefore means that 'as a result' , 'thus', 'consequently'

As we can see here, there is an excuse of Mrs. Eaton saying what she has to do today, meaning that these stuff (doing laundry, walking the dog and so on) show us how busy she is. So, the sentence "I'm busy" shows that she is busy with doing/completing these stuff.
