Answer:

x = 4\sqrt{2}, y = 2\sqrt{6}

Step-by-step explanation:

Using the sine ratio in the right triangle and the exact value

sin30° = \frac{1}{2} , then

sin30° = \frac{opposite}{hypotenuse} = \frac{2\sqrt{2} }{x} = \frac{1}{2} ( cross- multiply )

x = 4\sqrt{2}

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Using the tangent ratio in the right triangle and the exact value

tan30° = \frac{1}{\sqrt{3} } , then

tan30° = \frac{opposite}{adjacent} = \frac{2\sqrt{2} }{y} = \frac{1}{\sqrt{3} } ( cross- multiply )

y = 2\sqrt{6}

BEST ANSWER GETS BRAINLIEST!! PLEASE HELP
Makovka662 [10]
To find the mean, you add all the elements together, then divide by the number of elements.

Like this:

(45+48+49+40+53)/5=47

in other words the correct answer is 47 inches.

EDIT: Did the foolish mistake, of using the wrong numbers the first time. Fixed now and the answer is correct.

What equation this show<br> The cost of 10 pounds of potatoes is 8 dollars
Alekssandra [29.7K]
To formulate the equation that shows the cost of 10 pounds of potatoes is 8 dollars we proceed as follows;
suppose the cost 1 pound is x;
thus,
total cost=(amount in pounds)*(price of one pound)
total cost=$8
amount=10 pounds
cost of one pound=x
thus the equation is;
8=10x
