Answer:

Correct Answer is People settle in the areas with the mildest climates, and this is where most of the cities then developed.

Explanation:

Australia is a country which largest portion of land is Desert or Semi-arid, this region called the Outback is located in the center on the country and because of its climate and extreme conditions, it is inhabited mostly by indigenous group and was historically avoided by the Colonies that preferred to establish mainly in the Southeast coast of Australia.

The Southeast Coast has a more ideal climate for settlements, a temperate climate that contrasts with the Arid and Semiarid climates of the center, in this region the main Cities are located and the vast majority of the population is located. The main cities are Sidney with a population of More than 5 million Melbourne with less than 5 million and Brisbane with 2.5 million, if we take into account the total population is about 23 million we can conclude that these cities located on the East and Southeast coast of Australia, hold the majority of Australia's population.

I believe the answer is C) People settle in the areas with the mildest climates, and this is where most of the cities then develop.
Australia is covered with deserts, tropical jungles, and grasslands. The most population is set up in the places that best support human development.
Hope this helps! Please let me know if I'm wrong :)
