REY [17]
We stood on the deck of "The Labrador" as it sailed amoung he many waves. We were on a voyage to China, and our journey had only begun. The ship's motion was making me feel like the ship was going to drown. Luckily, "The Labrador" was prepared with life jackets, which was a major bonus. Seven months later, we began to approach a land mass. I wondered if that land mass could possibly be Asia. If it was, we were in luck. China was located in Asia. As we sailed closer, I began to feel as if we were going to accomplish our goal. I realized we had finally reached China. As I stepped onto the foreign grounds of China, I realized that I missed the comforting motion of the waves under the ship's floor.

An iambic pentameter is a metrical form where an iamb/ foot has an unstressed syllable followed by a stressed syllable, with a repetition of five times in a line. An example of such form is the line<em> "Shall I compare thee to a summer’s day?" </em>from "Sonnet 18" by William Shakespeare.

Iambic heptameter is the same as that of an iambic pentameter, except that the repetition happens seven times in a line instead of five. An example is Lord Byron's <em>"O could I feel as I have felt, or be what I have been"</em> from "Youth and Age".
