Answer:

There was one morning, the sun was up, and it was a nice day outside and it was the first day of school. I put on my shoos and walked out of the door. I finally got to school and went to class. the class was well lit up and had the best scenery and there he was, my first friend it the whole school. As I looked at him he smiled and I knew we were going to be good friends. I finally decided to approach him and we started to talk. After our long conversation that lasted the whole class I realized I didn't take any notes. I left the class and headed to my second period. I open the door and then he walks in behind me. We spend the next 2 periods together and had a good time. we went to lunch and that's when it all happened. After we sit at our desks he tells me he is going to start a food fight. I beg him not to but he dose anyway. That's when it started he yelled "FOOD FIGHT" and I got mad at him. He did this everyday until that Friday when I asked him if he ever wanted to be friends in the first place. He said no and that is when I made even better friends than him. I personally think this was a good experience and it taught me that some of your friends aren't the best people.

What's the resolution in rules of the game by amy tan
Monica [59]

Answer:

One of the oddities of this short story is that there is no clear resolution. Some context will be important. In the beginning of the story, Waverly's mother teaches her the art of "invisible strength." Tan defines this as: "a strategy for winning arguments, respect from others."

In which passage is it clearest that the author is using diction to achieve some kind of effect?
ANEK [815]
I would probably say that the author used diction to achieve some kind of effect in the first sentence.

A.  The teacher stood at the door smiling brightly and welcoming each student to her classroom on the first day of school.

The author's diction, or word choice, in this sentence portrays the teacher as a nice, kind, caring person.

Which theme from Macbeth do these lines support?
Deffense [45]
The correct answer here is C. The lines 'If good, why do I yield to that suggestion Whose horrid image doth unfix my hair And make my seated heart knock at my ribs, Against the use of nature?' most likely refer to the theme that things are not always what they seem. This is illustrated by the fact that the character is negating the fact that something is good through referring to events that have unsettled them.
