How does swaniker portray the relationship between leadership and institutions ?
Lina20 [59]

My hope is that half of them will become the entrepreneurs that we need, who will create these jobs that we need, and the other half will go into government and the nonprofit sector, and they will build the institutions that we need. But they won't just learn academics. They will also learn how to become leaders, and they will develop their skills as entrepreneurs. So think of this as Africa's Ivy League, but instead of getting admitted because of your SAT scores or because of how much money you have or which family you come from, the main criteria for getting into this university will be what is the potential that you have for transforming Africa?

12:21But what we're doing is just one group of institutions. We cannot transform Africa by ourselves. My hopeis that many, many other home-grown African institutions will blossom, and these institutions will all come together with a common vision of developing this next generation of African leaders, generation four, and they will teach them this common message: create jobs, build our institutions.

12:51Nelson Mandela once said, "Every now and then, a generation is called upon to be great. You can be that great generation." I believe that if we carefully identify and cultivate the next generation of African leaders, then this generation four that is coming up will be the greatest generation that Africa and indeed the entire world has ever seen.

List three (3) of the six (6) steps in the decision-making process. Using an example of a decision you're trying to make, descri
motikmotik

Three of the steps in decision making are- Identify the problem, Evaluate alternatives, and Making the decision. For example, if we are trying to choose to buy a dog or not we use those steps to help us choose our final decision.

With the 'Identify the problem' step, you should take a step back from the issue and realize what your issue is and why it's an issue. In our given example, our issue we are identifying is that we can not choose whether to get a dog or not. The things stopping us from getting a dog is our free-time, our travel issues, and disagreement with roommates.

With the 'Evaluate alternatives' step, you now should be choosing from the choices you have made into what we can do to make the best decision possible. In our example, for our travel issues we can hire a dog-sitter to watch over the dog while we are on vacations incase anything happens.

With the 'Making the decision' step, this is where after weighing pros and cons, finding alternatives, and a final conclusive: You make the choice. With our example, this is where we choose to buy the dog, or to not buy the dog.
