Answer: The battle of Little Bighorn occurred in 1876 and is commonly referred to as “Custer’s Last Stand”. The battle took place between the U.S. Cavalry and northern tribe Indians, including the Cheyenne, Sioux, and Arapaho. Prior to the battle of Little Bighorn in Montana, the tribal armies, under the direction of Sitting Bull, had decided to wage war against the whites for their refusal to stay off of tribal lands in the Black Hills. In the spring of 1876, Sitting Bull and his tribal army had successfully battled the U.S. Cavalry twice.

The U.S. Cavalry was attempting to force the Indians back to their reservations and divided into three columns to attack. One of the columns was led by Lt. General George Custer, who spotted a Sioux camp and decided to attack it. However, Indian forces outnumbered his troops three to one, and Custer and his troops were forced to reorganize. While waiting aid from the other Cavalry forces, another group of Indian forces, led by Crazy Horse, effectively trapped Custer and his men. In a desperate attempt to hold off the Indian warriors, Custer ordered his men to short their horses and stack their bodies to form a barricade to protect them from the Indians.

It took less than an hour for the arrows and bullets of the Indians to wipe out General Custer and his men. Despite having won this battle, the Indians were not victorious. Outrage over the death of the popular Custer led the U.S. government to redraw the boundaries of the Black Hills so that the land would not be part of reservation property, which left it open for white men to settle.

VARVARA [1.3K]
Domestic Tranquility means that there is peace, and no fighting/issues going on where you are living. It can have two different meanings though. It could also mean peace between the different states of a country. :) Hope I helped! For further details, I'd look into Google.

THIS IS THE ANSWER

Answer:

A) One way in which industrialization changed social classes in the period from 1750 to 1900 CE is the fact that industrialization increased the social class divide between the middle and upper class and the lower classes. Industrialization benefited the middle and upper classes more than anyone else, therefore increasing the gap between the classes.

B) One way in which industrialization resulted in new roles for women in the period from 1750 to 1900 CE is that it opened up a lot more job opportunities for women, as the workforce was growing rapidly, and needed many more workers than previously required. This forced a lot of companies to open up jobs to women, shifting their previously given role as purely wives and mothers to providers of the household. This was really only the beginning, as women were given more and more roles over the years, mostly thanks to industrialization opening up more opportunities.

C) One way in which industrialization caused changes to cities in the period from 1750 to 1900 CE is that it heavily increased the population, thus creating a larger urban population and attracting more business. The increased population and business within cities allowed technology and industry to really thrive, as with more business, it’s more likely for a city to be well-funded. In short, because of industrialization, it allowed countries to urbanize, as in move more people to the city, increasing industry and making cities an increasingly viable option for economic opportunity. Industrialization completely changed the way cities were viewed.

describe at least three valid reasons why the articles of confederation were inadequate as a goverment system
11Alexandr11 [23.1K]
They gave more control to the States than the actual Federal Government. This was intentional due to the colonists not wanting a strong central government and cause a repeat of England's rule. This proved to be inadequate because the federal government was unable to regulate taxes or even gather an army to help with disputes. These flaws in the Articles were shown with Shay's Rebellion as the Continental Army (federal government's army) was slow to organize and confront the problem. They did not give congress and national government enough power. It also did not give congress the power to tax, which caused the government to print more money, and lead to inflation. Another valid reason why the Articles of Confederation was inadequate, it did not give congress to the power to draft troops.
