Answer:

D.

Explanation:

Aesthetic impact is a marked effect, impression, or influence of a piece of writing on the aesthetic sense of the reader, with the term aesthetic meaning "related to understanding beauty and art". If the reader is shocked and disturbed, it means the story has had a powerful negative effect on the aesthetic sense of the reader.

d.

Explanation:

Reflecting the main character's mind does not describe an aesthetic impact (answer choice A). The height of the story's tension may have no aesthetic impact at all (answer choice B). The symbolism may represent the character's longing, but it may have no aesthetic impact (answer choice C). Hope this helps.

Which option is the best example of believable evidence that could be used in a hoax
wolverine [178]

The correct answer is "A photograph of an alien spaceship landing on Earth."

Further Explanation:

A picture of an alien spaceship that has landed on Earth is more convincing to people than other evidence that may be shown. A hoax is when a person or persons will try to trick others into believing something that is not true.

A person may believe that the picture is true and then spread the news to more people who also may believe the picture. This will then spread the hoax all over. There have been many hoaxes throughout time that have made people believe them to be true.

Listed below are just a few of the more famous hoaxes of our time;

 • Balloon boy
 • Alien Autopsy picture and video
 • C.W. Blubberhouse
 • Cottingley Fairies
 • Fiji mermaid
 • Calaveras Skull

Summary Of Rethinking The Wild By Christopher Solomon Essay

1530 Words7 Pages

Humanity co-exists with nature in a relationship that periodically shifts between symbiotic and parasitic. We maintain this relationship in order to survive. In exchange, we carefully monitor how our behavior alters the natural environment and affects those living within it. This responsibility is the price we pay for our species’ sentience and dominance. To help fulfill our duty, America established the 1954 Wilderness Act in hopes of becoming passive “guardians” of nature instead of encroaching “gardeners.” However, the Wilderness Act has failed. In his article, “Rethinking the Wild”, Christopher Solomon questions the effectiveness of the law and correctly concludes that, after fifty years of dormancy, mankind must take an active role in environmental protection, the role of the gardener. Though critics may argue that the passivity of the “guardian” should be maintained, realistically, little can be done to preserve the environment when we refuse to do anything. Because mankind has a greater stake in the wilderness than we realize, we must assume a proactive role in protecting the wilderness out of respect for nature and our own ethical standards.

Boundaries and Investments

Assume for the sake of our argument that nature holds no intrinsic value. Why, then, is the wilderness worth protecting? Truthfully, the wilderness can be a valuable indicator of the planet’s overall health, which is not easily gauged in industrialized and populated areas due to human influence.
