The word that best describes the narrator, according to this excerpt of "Exhalation" is: SOCIAL.

The narrator likes to spend time in the company of others and talk about whats happening in their lives and the world. He feels comfortable with the presence of other and enjoys the sense fo camaraderie that comes from being with one another and sharing an air that "comes from the same source".
