La is the definite article for feminine nouns. Ex: La Fruta: The Fruit (Note: la and fruta both end in "a". That's how you know it's a feminine noun.)
For El it is the definite article for masculine nouns. Ex: El Libro: The Book (Note: for el, nouns end in "o")
They are all correct. Keep #2 same way.

If you say "le gusta el cafe?" It would be appropriate to say "Usted le gusta el cafe?"
And it depends where you go, some countries would say le gusta and some countries use te gusta. In Puerto Rico, we say te. When I went to Uruguay and Argentina, they use le.
