Many things happened for example American and Spanish War, then the with Treaty of Paris between American and Spanish agreeing to purchase the Territory of the Philippines, Cuba, Puerto Rico, Guam, and some other islands. This then lead to Philippine and American war. Lastly biggest event of them all is WW1.
