Nigerian storytelling has historically been an oral tradition. Historically the stories were passed down and told by word of mouth, spoken rather than written.

In the first poem, He uses a lot of questions to create questioning in the reader. In the second poem, he uses a lot of imagery to create a feeling of thought.
