The attitude connoted by the word snicker is condescending disrespect.

The word snicker is defined by the Merriam-Webster dictionary as "to laugh in a covert or partly suppressed manner."

There is something false and dishonest about a snicker; it gives an impression of sarcasm, contempt, or mockery. It can be interpreted as disrespectful and condescending.

This could correspond to the eternal Footman's (death's) attitude because in this poem, Prufrock is expressing his fear of mortality and his feeling of not being important in the eyes of death.

Town of Sad

I'm walking the sidewalk,
in the middle of town.
My head is quite heavy,
it's pointing straight down.

I do not wish,
to look straight ahead.
My body and mind,
just feels beyond dead.

An intersection,
I finally reach,
Where I'm welcomed,
with a horrible screech.

Right or left,
I'm asked to choose.
But I continue along the sidewalk,
change I refuse.

My sidewalk is covered,
with sorrow an dirt.
I'm loyal to this street,
it's simply called hurt.

As I continue,
my pain sadly grows.
The shoes I'm wearing,
are called blue woes.

There seems like there's no end,
or slight hope in sight.
This lonely town,
forever has night.

It's just so difficult,
for me to leave.
As I raise my head,
I cannot believe.

A rusty sign,
with the name of the town.
It reads, "Sad",
and it's pointing straight down.

user100 [1]

Answer:

Have you ever wondered why certain sports are popular in some countries, but scarcely heard of in others? How do these sports evolve?

Explanation:

The term punctuation refers to the use of punctuation marks to separate sentences and their elements and to clarify meaning. The punctuation marks used at the end of sentences are the period, question mark, and exclamation mark.

A period is used to mark the end of a declarative sentence, i.e. the end of a statement or fact.

A question mark is used to mark the end of an interrogative sentence, i.e. the end of a question.

An exclamation mark is used to show excitement or emphasis.
