3*40 + x / 4 = 45.

The answer of x comes out to be 60. Which means that the speed was travel around 60 miles per hour in the last one hour of the total journey.

Well to understand how i constructed its equation is very simple. I equated the total average speeds answer to 45 and just calculated the average speeds with the help of algebra where x is the number of miles..

A circular swimming pool has a radius of 15 ft. There is a path all around that pool that is three feet wide.
alisha [4.7K]
Pi•r^2

Radius= 15
Plug in and that should give you the blue area. =706.858

If you added 3 feet to the circle that would change the radius to 18 so back to the formula...
Pi•18^2
=1,017.876

To find the shades you would have to subtract the two and get your answer

Interesting. Either the answer choices are wrong or I am.... is the formula right? Lol it’s been too long

Andrej [43]

Answer:

True.

Step-by-step explanation:

Volume of a cylinder = π r^2 h   where h = height and π r^2 = the base area.

Volume / height =  π r^2 h  /  h  =   π r^2 = base area.

Please help me solve this using the distance formula!!
kumpel [21]

Answer:

51.5 m

Step-by-step explanation:

Plot the points B and C. Then substitute the points in the distance formula.

B(-35,-20)

\sf x_1= -35 \  ; \ y_1=-20

C(-10,25)

\sf x_2=-10 \ ; \ y_2 = 25

        \sf \boxed{\bf Distance = \sqrt{(x_2-x_1)^2+(y_2-y_1)^2}}

                          \sf = \sqrt{(-10-[-35])^2+(25-[-20])^2}\\\\=\sqrt{(-10+35)^2+(25+20)^2}\\\\=\sqrt{(25)^2+(45)^2}\\\\=\sqrt{625+2025}\\\\=\sqrt{2650}\\=51.5 \ m
