Answer:

The North wanted the states to be free states. Most northerners thought that slavery was wrong and many northern states had outlawed slavery. This is called anti-slavery states. The South, on the other hand, was not against slavery and wanted it to continue. So, that’s what they did. They got slaves to do grow cotton and tobacco for them. This is called slave states. Slave states are exactly what you think it is. States full of slaves. Free states are states that have no slaves. This all led to the Civil War because the people fought because the northern states wanted every state to be free states but the Southern states wanted every state to be slave states.

Answer:

The North wanted the new states to be “free states.” Most northerners thought that slavery was wrong and many northern states had outlawed slavery. The South, however, wanted the new states to be “slave states.” Cotton, rice, and tobacco were very hard on the southern soil.

In what ways did the war become a symbol of liberty?
Mrrafil [7]
For the United States, the pursuit of freedom was born from its origins, and has a lot of relation to the war, taking examples that the Americans fought since the Independence of the 13 Colonies, later fought the American civil war, and finally the most important world war, World War II. For the history of the United States, freedom has been obtained through war with different powers and between the same country, to liberate America from slavery. Many of today's US bellicose interventions have been to liberate areas considered oppressed or dangerous, and although this is highly debatable globally, such actions have been pursued seeking freedom.
