The economic collapse of the Weimar Republic would leave Germans in extreme poverty and helplessness, so when Hitler came and promised to make everything better, it gave the citizens hope so they would advocate for his election (of course not all of them once they found out a lot of his campaign strategies had to do with extreme racism)
