Answer:

The angle between the two vectors

∝ = 64°

Step-by-step explanation:

<u><em>Step(i):-</em></u>

Given that the vectors

                           a^{-} = i^{-} - 2j^{-} +5k^{-}

          and

                         b^{-} = 3i^{-} +j^{-} -2k^{-}

(a^{-} . b^{-} ) = (i^{-} - 2j^{-} +5k^{-} ) . (3 i^{-} + j^{-} - 2k^{-} )

           =  3 (i⁻ . i⁻) - 2(j⁻.j⁻) -10(k⁻.k⁻)

          = 3 - 2 -10

          = -9

<u><em>Step(ii):-</em></u>

Let '∝' be the angle between the two vectors

                    cos\alpha = \frac{a^{-}.b^{-}  }{|a||b|}

                  cos\alpha = \frac{|-9| }{\sqrt{1+4+25}\sqrt{9+1+4}  }

                 cos\alpha = \frac{|-9| }{\sqrt{30}\sqrt{14}  }

               \alpha =cos^{-1} ( \frac{|-9| }{\sqrt{30}\sqrt{14}  })

              ∝ = cos⁻¹(0.4392) = 63.947

<u><em>Final answer:-</em></u>

The angle between the two vectors

               ∝ = cos⁻¹(0.4392) = 63.947

                ∝ = 64°

Answer:

Approach: Difference of Squares Pattern

4 {x}^{2}  - 25 = (2x - 5)(2x + 5)

Step-by-step explanation:

The given binomial is:

4 {x}^{2}  - 25

We can rewrite to obtain:

{(2x)}^{2}  -  {5}^{2}

This is a difference of two squares, so we will factor using difference of squares pattern.

Recall that:

{a}^{2} -  {b}^{2}   = (a + b)(a - )

If we let

a = 2x

and

b = 5

Then we can factor the given binomial to obtain:

{2x}^2 -  {5}^{2}  = (2x - 5)(2x + 5)

\therefore4 {x}^{2}  - 25 = (2x - 5)(2x + 5)

17. Julie has $80 in her savings account and plans to save Sr each
marshall27 [118]

Answer:

$8(x + 10)

Step-by-step explanation:

The expression $8x + $80  has two terms. They are $8x and $80.

When you factor an expression, you are looking for numbers that every term in the expression can divide by (and give a whole number).

Just by looking at the terms, you see they both have $ you can factor out. They can both also be divided by 8. This is called taking out a common factor.

$8x + $80     Take out the common factor

= ($8x) / $8 + ($80) / $8

= $8(x + 10)      The common factor goes outside the terms' bracket

This expression can't be factored more because there are no common factors. The binomial also doesn't have square numbers for example, which might make a case where you need to factor further with different methods.

Since he completes 10 minutes each day for five days, he completes 50 minutes.

The percentage of his total requirement would be 50/100 = 0.5 = 50%.
