Soneto VIII.

Escrito por el poeta Español Garcilaso de la Vega,

<em>De aquella vista buena y excelente</em>

<em>salen espíritus vivos y encendidos,</em>

<em>y siendo por mis ojos recibidos,</em>

<em>me pasan hasta donde el mal se siente.</em>

<em>Entránse en el camino fácilmente,</em>

<em>con los míos, de tal calor movidos,</em>

<em>salen fuera de mí como perdidos,</em>

<em>llamados de aquel bien que está presente.</em>

<em>Ausente, en la memoria la imagino;</em>

<em>mis espíritus, pensando que la vían,</em>

<em>se mueven y se encienden sin medida;</em>

<em>mas no hallando fácil el camino,</em>

<em>que los suyos entrando derretían,</em>

<em>revientan por salir do no hay salida. </em>

En este poema, Garcilaso se confronta con una serie de planteamientos en donde hace referencia a sus espíritus como si fueran guías o factores que influyen en su comportamiento y sus decisiones.

Garcilaso de la Vega nació por ahí del 1498 y falleció en 1536.

Vivió una época en la que las monarquías Europeas -entre ellas España- se disputaban territorios en diferentes partes del mundo. Y esto influyó en su estilo y pensamientos que plasmó en su poesía.
