What cultural and emotional effects do you think the jews involved in the holocaust felt?
Svetach [21]

Answer:

As for culture, the Jews famously denied most of what was happening to them as far as persecution goes towards the beginning of the Holocaust. After it got worse (camps etc.) Emotionally, the Jews were along the same level as dirt. Some even believed the lies that were spread through Hitler's propaganda and when taken to camps gave up. The loud and merry life of the Jewish holidays were taken away completely removing almost all Jewish culture during and a long way after the Holocaust. Loss and seclusion for the survivors brought PTSD and many other mental illnesses. So as far as culture and emotions go, Jews in the Holocaust is probably as bad as it gets.

Was the United States successful in early containment of communism?
Zina [86]

Answer:

Yes, it was. In fact, the containment policy prevented communism from expanding from Eastern Europe to other nations in Western Europe, Southern Asia or the Americas.

Explanation:

Containment was the foreign policy strategy adopted by the United States after World War II, aimed at stopping the extension of the Soviet zone of influence beyond its limits reached in March 1947 and at countering the states likely to adopt communism.

Mostly, support to foreign states was through financial aid, notably with the Marshall Plan, but also military with the creation of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). Containment was an important part of the Truman Doctrine, which aimed to actively intervene in support of foreign political regimes in order to fight communism.
