Answer:

d = 5.5t

Step-by-step explanation:

Andrew jogs at an average speed of 5.5 miles per hour. He is planning a jog for Saturday morning. How far can Andrew go on his jog? Write an equation for the problem and use the equation to answer the question.

speed = distance / time

speed = 5.5

distance = d

t = time

5.5 = d/t

d = 5.5t

Solve the equation 1/2x -5+2/3x=7/6x+4
prohojiy [21]
1/2x -5+2/3x =7/6x+4
First, you need to find the least common denominator between the 3 fractions....
2-3-6 The GCF is 6...
So to get rid of the fractions, multiply the whole equation by 2

6[ 1/2x -5+2/3x =7/6x +4 ]=
3x -30 +4x =7x +24

Now that we got rid of our fractions, we combine like terms...

3x -30 + 4x= 7x + 24
7x -30 = 7x + 24
-30 = 24 is not true

So, there is no solution

Hope this helps Nic
If you have seen this method in school before....
Maybe this will seem familiar

I keep on getting the wrong answer
Anon25 [30]

1) Area = (b*h)/2 = (9*5)/2 = 45/2 = 22.5 (Letter A)

2) Area = b*h = 8*14 = 112 (Letter D)

3) Surface area of a prism is SA=2B+ph (B = area of the base, p = perimeter of the base, h = height)

B = 15 * 5 = 75 cm^2

p = 15 + 5 = 20 cm

SA = 2*75 + 20*7 = 150 + 140 = 290 (G)

4) V = (B*H*L)/2 = (15*7*5)/2 = 525/2 = 262.5 cm^3 (G)

5) V = 9^3 = 81 cm^3 worth of wrapping (A)

6) V = (B*H*L)/2 = (13*6*8)/2 = 312 cube feet (J)

It gave me ADGGAJ. I don't know if this is right, but I atleast tried to do something, right?

Write the slope-intercept form of the equation of the line that is parallel to AB and passes through Point X. Show all
DanielleElmas [232]

find y=mx+b for line parallel to AB.

The line that is parallel will have the same slope as line AB:

the slope of line AB is

m=(8-3)/(-10-2)

=5/-12

=-5/12

Since the line going through X is parallel the vertical distance of the new line to AB is the same for all values of the domain(x-axis).

at x=-5 the point X has the y value of 10 which is 4 more than the y value for AB based on the graph.

To find the intercept b of the line going through X that is parallel to AB we just add 4 to the intercept of AB, which is 4 so

4+4=8
