I know many students may are afraid to answer when asked a question in fear of getting it wrong so instead of having them speak aloud I have them write on a paper the answer (everyone participates in this) and then they throw the papers across the class and everyone picks up a paper and reads the answer on that paper aloud. When one person is dependent on another, they rely on that person for survival. Their needs being met is dependent on the other person fulfilling their needs. For example, a toddler is dependent on a parent because the child requires the parent to give them food and shelter. The toddler cannot buy a house themselves nor can they get themselves food. They must rely on the parent to shelter them and give them food that is safe to eat.
