valina [46]

I usually am flying economy class, but last year I flied first-class on a trip from Vermont to Texas. This is how it happened. When I arrived at the airport, the attendant told me the airline had been overbooked, which meant they were selling too many tickets for that flight. I was not in a hurry, so I offered to go on the next flight. Then I found out there was an extra seat after all—it was first class! As I sat in my first-class seat, I noticed the ride was much quieter and smoother than on other parts of the plane. When I buzzed the flight attendants, they arrived right away. Also, there were enough fleece blankets for everyone, so I was able to cover myself when the cabin got too cool. Because the seats were so large, I had lots of room to stretch my legs. Best of all, the first-class meal was really good. All of these pleasant surprises made the flight seem shorter than any other flight I have took before. Hope this helped as I changed some of the words :))

What text evidence points to Black Hactcin's great power and influence?
sdas [7]

In the "Creation of Earth, Sky, Animals, and Man" by Edward Morris Opler, we learn about the Apache Creation story. The text evidence that points to Black Hactin's great power and influence is found in paragraph 6;

  • "The most powerful Hactcin down there was a Black Hactcin. The Hactcin were all there already but in the darkness, Black Hactcin was the leader. It was there, before anything else was made, that Black Hactcin made all the animals."

This evidence from the text shows the power and influence of Black Hactcin. There were other Hactcins who did not have the power of creation like the Black Hactcin.

Note that the Hactcins were all supernatural beings.

The Black Hactcin first made the animals before making man and spreading them throughout the earth.

Which statement best describes the point of view Jean Fritz uses in Homesick?
Andrew [12]

Answer:

Fritz uses first-person point of view to describe the thoughts and perspectives of the narrator.

Explanation:

Jean Fritz in the book Homesick uses the first person narrative to put the readers in the shoes of the major character in the book so they could better understand his perspective, feel his emotions, and view the world from the same lenses.

The use of the pronoun "I" and "Me" by the author was to enable the first person narrative.

For example,

I entered the room and everywhere was dark

She was looking directly at me.

This use of personal pronouns, object pronouns, possessive pronouns, etc were used extensively in the book to enable the readers experience the events from the first person narrative of the major character.
