110 horses can be found in one day with 44 bales of hay. If each horse needs 2/5 bales of hay each day, just convert 2/5 into a decimal (0.4) and divide 44 by 0.4 to get 110. (That's a lot of horses!)

Postal carrier can deliver 130 houses and 2.5 hour. At this rate how many hours will it take to deliver 312 at houses
Vlada [557]

First, you much find out how many houses are deliverd in 1 hour.

130/2.5=52

So 52 houses are delivered in 1 hour. Now, divide that by 312.

312/52=6

It would take 6 hours to deliver 312 houses.

Find the sum of the measures of exterior angles, one at each vertex, of an octagon.
hjlf
A rule of polygons is that the sum of the exterior angles always equals 360 degrees, but lets prove this for a regular octagon (8-sides). First we must figure out what eachof the interior angles equal. To do this we use the formula: ((n-2)*180)/n where n is the number of sides of the polygon

Mr. Thomas drove 75 miles in May. He drove 6 times as many miles in July as he did in May. He
harkovskaia [24]

Answer:

1800 miles

Step-by-step explanation:

No. of miles driven by Mr. Thomas in May = 75

It is given that miles driven in July is 6 times of miles driven by Mr. Thomas in May(75 miles).

Thus

No. of miles driven by Mr. Thomas in July = 6 * No. of miles driven by Mr. Thomas in May = 6*75 = 450 miles.

__________________________________________________

Another condition given that miles driven in June is 4 times of miles driven by Mr. Thomas in July(450miles as calculated above).

Thus

No. of miles driven by Mr. Thomas in June = 4 * No. of miles driven by Mr. Thomas in July = 4* 450 miles = 1800 miles.

No. of miles driven by Mr. Thomas in June is 1800 miles.
