• I guess it emerges when people go out with each other. Best friends can become a boy friend or girlf riend relationship. The only way to succeed in love is when you actually love the person you love because of her characteristics, not her looks or fame.
 • People may be mean at first but it's most likely something happened to them. Then there's lust. Lust is when two people want each other but don't love each other. True love is only when you and your love been thru a lot with each other and are still together.

I had trouble with this as well so don't worry, you're not alone.
Indirect objects are nouns and pronouns that identify to whom or for whom the action of the verb is performed.
Direct objects are nouns, pronouns, clauses, and phrases.

The sentence from paragraph 19 of Passage 2 that highlights the idea that Stine strives for readers to interact with the story is:

"In the Goosebumps books, I did as little characterization as possible..." -because when you are writing scary books, you want the kid reading it to feel like they are experiencing the story."

What is Characterization?

Characterization refers to the manner in which a writer presents the actors in a story. He could clearly state their attributes or allow readers to deduce these based on their actions or thoughts.

In the third option above, we find that the author's reason for using little characterization was because he wanted the readers to feel like they are experiencing the story. So, option C is right.

The more you read the better. If you don't understand some of the words look them up. Good readers usually have a huge range of vocabulary. Skim or scan the text first as well.
