Because of the Executive Order 9066, Japanese Americans were relocated to Internment Camps through the War Relocation Authority. It was because Americans were fearful that Japanese Americans were still loyal to Japan during World War II and many Americans feared that they could be spies for the Japanese Empire. By placing them into Internment Camps we were able to keep tabs on them. During the 1980s, the government actually paid reparations to Japanese people that were still alive from the Internment Camps.</span>
