What is the dependent clause? he defeated Tai Lung. Because Po believed in himself

English

Reptile [31]3 years ago

Answer: Because Po believed in himself.

Explanation: Independent clauses are things that express a complete thought. He defeated Tai Lung is a complete thought.

Because Po believed in himself, is the dependant clause. "Because Po believed in himself" is not a complete thought.

Words like "because, therefore, unless, etc." are all used as the beginning of a dependent clause.

Independent clauses must have a subject and a verb. The verb is defeated, and he (or Tai Lung, I'm not so sure about this) is the subject.

If your friend said that kinetic energy was changing to potential energy at point C, how would you respond?
ozzi

Answer:

C.  Your friend is incorrect, at this point, the cannon ball just has potential energy.

Explanation:

Potential energy is the kind of energy that an object has due to its position.

The unit for energy in the International System of Units (SI) is the joule, which has the symbol J.

Potential energy is usually related to forces that act on a body in a way that the total work done by these forces on the body depends only on the initial and final positions of the body in space.

These forces, receive the name of conservative forces and can be represented at every point in space by vectors expressed as gradients of a certain scalar function called potential.

devlian [24]

last option cause the sentence contains one independent clause and two dependent clauses.

A dependent clause is similar to an independent clause in that it has a subject and a verb, but it is not a complete thought. After a strenuous climb, and because night was rapidly approaching are dependent clauses because they cannot stand on their own. The hikers decided to make camp before reaching the summit is an independent clause because it can stand on its own out of context
