An indirect object pronoun (un pronombre de objeto indirecto) is a person that receives the action of a verb indirectly. It tells us <em>to whom </em>or <em>for whom</em> something is done, You can see the different forms of indirect objects in Spanish in the Table below. To find the indirect object in a sentence you need to know<em> to whom</em> or <em>for whom</em> an action was done. On the other hand, there are two places where indirect object pronouns can be placed namely:
1) Before a conjugated verb.
2) Attached to the end of the verb. This is only true if the verb is not conjugated, such as infinitives or gerunds or if the verb is an affirmative informal command.
In this problem we use the first placement, that is, before a conjugated verb. So, in this way, we can solve this problem for each sentence as follows:
1. Isabel y yo vamos de compras al centro comercial. Yo les tengo que comprar unas cosas a mis parientes porque voy a viajar a mi ciudad este fin de semana.
2. A mi hermana Laura le quiero comprar unas gafas de sol, pero ella...
3. ...me tiene que comprar un traje de baño a mí.
