Explanation:

I believe that other people would never be as forgiving as Mrs. Luella Bates was to Roger. She overlooked everything and simply forgave him, but in today's society, people are so stubborn on the fact that they won't forgive someone who has made a mistake or hurt them. But we can't blame people because it's the way our world is and everyone has become so numb to what their saying. Roger had been caught stealing by some other person, he would have faced heavy punishment. Most people would not forgive Roger as many of us are not sympathetic and composed during such situations. Mrs. Jones take him home because she feels some empathy with his despondent situation. There is also evidence she does not have children but does have motherly concerns for Roger. In conclusion I believe that it would be very difficult for other people to forgive Roger.

Read the quotation by Dorothea Lange about the photo “Migrant Mother” from Years of Dust.
NNADVOKAT [17]

Answer: A) Lange describes a situation that is more desperate than the true circumstances that Thompson’s daughter explains.

Explanation: In the first excerpt from the quotation by Dorothea Lange about the photo “Migrant Mother” from Years of Dust, we can see Lange describing a terrible situation of the mother (Thompson) and her children, struggling to buy food. In the second excerpt Thompson's daughter explains that her mother was an active mother and a leader, so from the given excerpt we can see that Lange describes a situation that is more desperate than the true circumstances that Thompson’s daughter explains.
