Boredom's definition is (The state of feeling disinterested in one's surroundings, having nothing to do, or feeling that life is dull) Fascinating's definition is (extremely interesting) In my own words, being bored is when you have nothing to do and starring at the wall is fun. Being fascinating is when someone finds you interesting and wants to hang out with you, or when you are bored staring at a wall is fascinating.

Why did Gerrit Rietveld use lumber cut in standard size for his Red-Blue chair?
Nataliya [291]

He had hoped his chair(s) would go on to be mass-produced, not hand-crafted. As a matter of fact, he had hopes that much of his furniture would be mass-produced--he aimed for simplicity in construction. The pieces of wood that comprised the Red Blue Chair were the standard lumber sizes readily available at the time.

Ratling [72]

The drawing technique described in which silver-tipped pencils or other metals are used is known as Silverpoint or metalpoint.

What is the silverpoint?

Silverpoint is a drawing and writing technique developed during the Middle Ages by scribes. Later, in the Renaissance, it was taken by artists to capture their drawings on paper, or other materials.

Generally, metalpoint uses tip pencils of different metals such as:

 • Silver
 • Lead
 • Tin

Additionally, the paper or the medium on which it is going to be written must be smooth so that the lines are marked. The most popular was the use of plaster or parchment to make drawings that generally showed realistic human figures.
