What did men do during the Civil War if they did not want to fight?

<em>Men on both sides were inspired to fight by patriotism, state pride, the chance for adventure, steady pay. Union soldiers fought to preserve the Union; the common Confederate fought to defend his home. If they did not want to fight i doubt they could do anything about it they had to because it was either up the people to make a choice and either fight, try to take cover some where i assume or just let themselves get killed it does seem cruel but unfortunately that was how it occurred in those devastating times.</em>

a lot more better at moving supplies then horses

limitations: sucky gun, sucky armor, sucky motor, sucky engine, yeah pretty much everything was sucky, (armor did block stuff, not a lot)
